MarketPeel ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website at marketpeel.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your email address. You may optionally provide your name. If you sign up with a password, it is stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider; you can also sign in with a one-time email link or with Google.

Usage data

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insightsto count page views and measure page speed. They don't set cookies or store anything on your device, and they report only aggregated figures.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also records pages visited, session duration, and device type. If you decline, Google Analytics receives only cookieless signals that carry no identifier, which Google uses to model aggregate traffic.

Cookies

We use three categories of cookies:

• Necessary — required for authentication, bot protection, and storing your theme preference. These cannot be disabled.
• Analytics — set by Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Only set if you accept them.
• Marketing— set by the Meta (Facebook), X (Twitter), and Reddit pixels to measure which of our ads bring visitors to MarketPeel. These pixels don't load at all unless you accept marketing cookies.

You can change your choice at any time with the cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of every page.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and maintain your session
• To send you the MarketPeel newsletter, if you opt in (managed via Brevo)
• To personalise your experience (watchlists, preferences)
• To improve the site through aggregated, anonymous analytics

4. Third-Party Services

We share limited data with the following service providers:

• Supabase — authentication, database hosting, and storage
• Vercel — website hosting and cookieless analytics
• Google — Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (analytics cookies only with your consent), and Sign in with Google if you choose it
• Meta, X, and Reddit — advertising measurement pixels (only with your marketing consent)
• Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on the sign-up, sign-in, and password-reset forms
• Upstash — rate limiting, which briefly processes your IP address to block abuse
• Stripe — payment processing if you subscribe to a paid plan
• Brevo — email delivery for alerts and for the newsletter (only if you subscribe)
• Telegram — alert delivery, only if you connect your Telegram account

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Analytics data is retained in aggregated, anonymised form. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for analytics or marketing cookies at any time
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication through Supabase, and Row Level Security on our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Children

MarketPeel is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
